Her work has been presented in Israel, Europe, and the United States. Selected exhibitions include a solo exhibition at the Georgian National Museum in Tbilisi; a solo exhibition at Fridman Gallery in New York; the group exhibition A Glimpse into Art at Museo MIIT (Museo Internazionale Italia Arte) in Turin; and Liminality, a solo presentation at the Fresh Paint Art and Design Fair in Tel Aviv, curated by Serge Tiroche. Her paintings are held in private collections in Israel, Europe, and the United States.

For Lumière, abstraction is not an escape from reality but a way of reaching what cannot always be expressed through words. Her paintings explore transformation, inner resilience, and the possibility of light emerging through uncertainty. At the heart of her practice is the belief that art is the visible breath of God.

Lumière creates large-scale abstract paintings distinguished by intense colour, energetic gesture, and biomorphic forms that move between abstraction and emerging figuration. She approaches the canvas intuitively, building each composition through successive layers of colour, movement, and gesture. As a painting evolves, she changes the orientation of the canvas and continues working from each new perspective, allowing unexpected forms and relationships to emerge. Her process unfolds as a dialogue between intuition and conscious choice, freedom and control, tension and clarity.

Karina Lumière is a Ukrainian-born artist who lives and works in Tel Aviv, her home for nearly three decades. Before devoting herself fully to painting, she worked across several visual fields, including television makeup, fashion, and jewellery design. She came to painting at the age of forty, during a period of profound personal transformation.
